
Advancements in Understanding the Peri and Post Menopausal Body
This is an in person class held in Asheville, NC.
Women have been historically understudied in medical literature. Only 20% of ob-gyn programs provide any menopause training. With a lack of knowledge many practitioners are at a loss when it comes to assisting peri and post menopausal women with their changing bodies. The goal of this class is to educate women and/or health care providers about what happens when the hormone levels start to drop. Our class aims to provide the most updated information on the major topics that affect peri and post menopausal women.
In this class, some topics that will be addressed are: the science of menopause, hormones, diet culture, exercise, mindfulness, sleep, and bone health.
